Colloquially known as ink-of-fate fungus.

It has an obligatory symbiotic relationship with the oval glossy beetle.

The fungus provides food for the beetles. In turn, beetles play a direct role in the reproduction of 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘴 𝘥𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘴.

In the process of eating, enzymes from the salivary glands of the beetles convert the ectoplasm of the fungus into a viscous black liquid. Subsequently, it mixes with the spores, flows off the surface and spreads the spores over long distances.

𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘴 𝘥𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘴 is actively used by shamans of surrounding tribes in divination rituals.
